Slow songs at the reception

We had a last dance song as well as a first dance. Otherwise, we left it up to the DJ. He recommend opening the dance floor which was perfect because I knew I wanted him to play my parents' wedding song.

We left that up to the DJ. There was a lot of quiet stuff during dinner. But after that, she threw in a couple - I think one was around when dessert came out, and another as things slowed down in general... I honestly can't quite remember. I didn't really leave the dance floor (the DJ announced the cake cutting and I was like, "oh, that's me!").

I think it's a "read your crowd" thing.

We didn't have any other slow songs, by our own request! But the DJ also played a lot of slower music during dinner that some guests danced to as well. 🎵
