Small and cheap Louisville ky venues

Tanya, on April 13, 2016 at 8:14 PM Posted in Kentucky Planning 0 7

I'm on a small budget, we're paying for everything ourselves. I'm more interested in an outdoor wedding, probably 30 guests max.

The problem is i don't want to pay 1000+ for a venue for such a small group of people.

Currently looking into bernheim. Family is in Bardstown and louisville so anywhere between there is good.

Looking more for a small area to double as wedding and reception

    Hi Tanya! Welcome to WeddingWire!

I don't have a personal recommendation for a venue, but have you checked out WW's vendor tab? There are lots of venues listed there.

I hope you find something that's a good fit!

I'd look into state parks. Lots have gorgeous venues in and they are really affordable. The only problem is they book out far in advance.

I went to a wedding at the Peterson Dumensil house last November. I think my cousin said the venue rental was $3500 for a Saturday afternoon, off season. It was really lovely!Comfortably held her wedding of 40 guests.

There's lot of beautiful places in KY! I got married at Elk Creek Vineyards in Owenton which is about an hour. For that small of a group, you could probably do the mezzanine there--not sure how much it costs. But it's gorgeous Smiley smile

I know Butler State Resort Park was reasonably priced. Also, check out restaurants, vineyards, bourbon distilleries, and some of the farms.

Louisville has a thriving arts scene- maybe look into a museum or gallery?

Hey there. I am getting married in Louisville and live here. I am getting married at the Mellwood, cheap and you can use any caterer. I've seen some stories of issues with the place but haven't had any. The biggest issue with finding a place, even some that are affordable is that they want you to use either their caterer or have a list of caterers to choose from. I highly suggest emailing places that interest you and getting their rates and seeing what your catering options are, try using the Vendors tool on here.

I'm just now seeing this thread, so you're probably already married? We found the Horine Conference Center in Jefferson Memorial Forest. I think it's around $400. Good for small group.
