Small Ceremony Ideas

LCH, on May 5, 2024 at 8:40 AM Posted in Planning 0
I’d love anyone’s advise on either small ceremonies they have seen or attended. We are getting married on a Friday in December, we are thinking at 1:30pm, with a lunch immediately after. We are only anticipating 30-40 who will attend. We don’t have a bridal party and a close friend will be the one officiating. We are also hosting the ceremony and reception in the same room.

What I am trying to figure out is how we flow from the end of the ceremony to the lunch? With it all being in the same room guests don’t have to get up and move to the reception space. Currently we are planning to have everyone sit at their round tables for the ceremony (6 to a table instead of the max 8). I’m not sure if there is room for me to set up chairs in rows. I’ll have appetizers and an open bar available at 1pm prior to the ceremony and again it will all be available immediately after, lunch is available at 2pm. We plan to take most photos ahead of the ceremony so I thought maybe our officiant could announce everyone to get a drink, eat, and announce the lunch time? Maybe she could also announce some guests may be pulled away for photos? Since we have a smaller group I’d love to be able to get either a photo of the entire group together or at least individual pictures with almost everyone.
Any thoughts based on your experience's would be appreciated, thank you.
