Small ceremony timeline

Amy, on August 10, 2021 at 1:22 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3
Hi all,

We decided to plan a small elopement with immediate family only (16 people total including us). We have a ceremony only site for 2 hours (no alcohol allowed) owner plays guitar before, during, and after for soft background music. The owner does not allow bride to do hair and make up there so I would only be putting my dress on at the site!
I don’t know how to space out the timeline- guests can start to arrive at the restaurant at 5 for apps/dinner. I want to make sure there’s enough time for family pictures and for my fiancé and I to run across the street to the beach for photos! Any suggestions on how the time line should be ? I may just be over thinking everything but this is planned in less than a month 😅

What time do you have the ceremony venue booked for? If you want beach photos I would recommend doing either a first look on the beach, or giving about 1.5 hour gap time for family and beach photos. But definitely ask your photographer! They are so much better at coming up with these timelines than probably anyone one here.

Thank you! We are able to pick any time! I don’t want there to be a huge gap of time between the ceremony and the dinner though. I def will talk to my photographer!

Hi Amy! I'd talk to your photographer about your requested photos and timeline concern to see what they recommend!!

If you can do any photos before the ceremony that will definitely decrease the amount of gap between the ceremony & reception for your guests!
