Small Elopement

Two of my friends eloped with just bride and groom. I would say a good photographer is still a must. One had a great photographer with a few locations to shoot pics. Another had a not so great photographer that took like 30 pics of the couple. In quite of few of them, she inadvertently flipped the bird. Her photographer should have told her. Other than that, I would say to still make it feel special. Have a great dinner. Wear an outfit that makes you feel pretty. Maybe have a spa day with your FH.

I think the necessities are different for every couple, no matter what type of wedding they're having. If we decided to elope, I would definitely want to have a photographer and videographer to document our ceremony for friends and family, and my dream dress because I don't think that's something you should give up just because you don't have guests. As far as a "reception" we would probably do an intimate dinner at the airbnb, hotel, wherever we were staying, with a small cake and a first dance via Apple Music.

We're eloping but unfortunately our parents would kill us if they weren't there so just us is out of the question. It's just our immediate family (4 on each side). Either way, we are going to have a photographer with extra photography to catch every moment possible, we have a couple different locations where we can have photos done. There's no "reception" but we will be having a dinner reservation with our family.

A must is my dream dress which I can't wait to get. We definitely got to customize it as much as we could without hassle and I couldn't be more excited. All in all, it's all based on what YOU want, where you're going to have it and what will be offered to customize it best to your personalities.

For me, an elopement would include: 1) great photographer, 2) beautiful attire for us both and professional hair/make-up for me & bouquet, 3) amazing dinner afterwards all dressed up, 4) a beautiful location--under a tree in Napa, on a cliff in Ireland, someplace epic where we could also enjoy our honeymoon.

My fiancé and I are eloping just the two of in about 40 days. We have a great photographer, an incredible location, I’m having my hair and make up done, and we both are going to be dressed as though we were walking down the aisle for our family and friends. I’ll have a bouquet and we will have a small cake as well. We plan to go out for a nice dinner afterwards. We will be having a reception for friends and family later in the month.

View Quoted Comment We initially did not plan on having anything at all, but my mom really wanted to have something so what started out small has just grown. But it will be very low key. Cookout style foods, cornhole outside for people to play (having it in a barn) and some simple decorations and music. Small cake, etc.
