Smell

Luz, on November 6, 2022 at 10:18 AM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 5
I'm about to get married in July and I'm having a big problem. I had Covid-19 two years ago and after that the way things smell to me are different now. The biggest issue is my fiancés breath. I can't stand it. He never smelled like that for me before I had Covid-19. Any recommendations? I feel so bad for him. We are both good kissers and after I had this issue I had to stop kissing him.

That is really tough. I think this is something you should work out with a therapist, TBH. I think you need to work out what this change is going to mean for you longterm.

Do any of the major hospitals in your area have a post-Covid team? Changes in sense of smell are relatively common, and there has been some evidence for smell retraining therapy with occupational therapists.

Your comment is out of context. This is not what I'm talking about.

It is unclear what you are looking for then. you can dull your smell sensations (if there is a good way for that) or change the smell with the kisses or fix the sense of smell (if possible). Maybe mints or another spice would work to help in the kissing. Garlic, cloves, or various other spices.
