If you want to quit smoking or just want some inspiration to quit (I say that because although I wasn't ready, it always made me feel better to know when someone else had done it and survived lol), let me know! I'd love to form a kind of support group. Whether you're quitting to save money for your wedding or just because it's the right time, whatever the reason!

I am 3 days without smoking today and trust me, I feel like running around a screaming!!!! Anyone else been here before? This will be my second time (and hopefully last) quitting! I'm only scared of getting super fat now because I find myself wanting to munch on things more frequently lol...

Anyone else?

Mrs. B-baby, did you quit after you found out you were prego or before?

@Hayley- my FH is using the E-cigg and he loves it! You don't taste it, you don't smell it and it lasts so much longer than regular ciggarrettes and it helps a lot because it really takes the edge off because it delivers the nicotine without all the bad/harmful chemicals... IT works for a lot of people actually, I just don't care for it because it's not quite the same sensation as smoking so I feel more aggrivated... I end up taking HUGE drag after drag, which you're not supposed to do lol... so I have to go cold turkey, personally.

I've tried quitting alot, and i just cant do it. FH is a smoker to and honestly can quit whenever he wants. Hes quit a million times and gone alot longer than me. But he always starts back up again because i do. When he sees me smoking he wants to smoke to. So now i'm thinking i'll quit when its time to have a baby.

Hmmm maybe I will just have to try the e-cig! If I cant do the cold turkey thing lol Mrs. B-baby, was it easy for you? I mean I know smoking is harmful to the fetus so I would NEVER continue to smoke if I found out I was prego, but I know a couple of close friends who still smoked while prego just because it was stressful for them to try and quit and stress on babies is not good.

A woman I work with has been on the e-cig sense November. She started with the highest amount of nicotine they would allow and now she is down to 0 nicotine.. but still uses it bc of habit. I have been tempted to try but Im thinking after the wedding would be better. Any other time I've tried to quit the inner total bitch is out the whole time. If I quit before the weddding there may be no wedding lol.

Haven't read the whole thing- but I'm putting my support out there for all the people trying to quite. I wish so badly my mom and sister would stop. So major props for giving it your all. even if it fails and you have to try again a few times.

The E-Cig is great, especially because it gives you the fix without the chemicals and it's so much cheaper than ciggarrettes..

Christene, good luck with your FH! glad you aren't pushing him too hard... I tried to get FH to quit the first time I did, but we got into so many fights so I stopped.. now he's perfectly fine with his electronic one- I went cold turkey.. we've been smoking for 10 or more years though and have been at 1 pack a day for a few years... it's rough, but not impossible to stop Smiley smile

I know this post is from a decade ago, but I hope you were able to stop smoking and, if not, I'd love to be part of the support group. I HAD quit last year after smoking for 4 years (I'm 22). I did it for my FH since he doesn't smoke. The wedding is less than a year away and the pressure got to me about 3 weeks ago. I had a cigarette in the midst of a stressful day (and a vodka/cran) and thought that would be it, but I've been sneaking the past 3 weeks. I know I need to stop soon or I'm going to have to tell him (as I have started on the multiple cigs a day. I totally get Stevie Rae -- thus I love the idea of a support group or your successes in stopping.

I am totally thinking the same as you right now. I am also feeling guilty knowing both my FH and father would be extremely disappointed. It's getting harder to hide.
