I haven't been to a wedding with one of these, but I love the idea of them (even if they are a bit messy). I love s'mores! Some ideas on ingredients: plain graham cracker, chocolate graham cracker, hershey's milk chocolate, andies mint chocolates, caramels, toasted coconut?, reese's peanut butter cups, plain marshmallows, mint marshmallows.

I have seen a lot of those sterno in a box of rocks kind of set-ups in online pictures to toast the marshmallows

Seems way too messy for a wedding though they're delicious.

We are doing a smores bar! Our venue has a huge outdoor firepit and a portable bar which we will put near the firepit with all of the smores stuff. We plan on using apothecary jars with graham crackers, assorted marshmallows and chocolates. You can look into "gourmet marshmallows" if you want something cool. They have different shapes and flavors and such. Also we plan on having recipies. We will have random signs across the table with "the flower girls favorite", "the brides favorite" and so on each listing what the respective person likes. We were also thinking of having some s'more treats for those who don't want to make smores. S'more cookies and smore brownies and such. We will also be putting treat bags out for people to take something to go.

We're planning the same thing, but I'm trying to figure out what to do with the grahams. We did a small version at a backyard party last summer (Andes mints, PB cups, shortbread, fruit, etc) and the one issue we had was that the graham crackers got stale too quickly. I set it all up halfway through dinner, and by dessert, I had to open a new package. I'm thinking of the individually packaged ones for the wedding, but I've got some time to test things out. Let me know what you do, and how it goes.!

Definitely going plain Smores... Good old fashioned Hershey's chocolate, Kraft Marshmallows and Nabisco graham crackers. I figure there is also cake, so no need for super gourmet Smores.

As for the "Smores Bar" look, I definitely want the marshmallows in some sort of container with a lid, knowing this will go stale. I guess graham crackers should go into something with a lid too to to keep them fresh as well.

I've attached a picture with general look... Sternos will be used (make for an easier clean up).

We are having a s'mores bar at our rehearsal dinner bbq. There will be about 50 people, so I wanted a nice variety and I'm having fun finding different things to put on the bar! We are having:

    Honey graham crackers

    Cinnamon graham crackers

    Chocolate graham crackers

    Regular marshmallows

    Strawberry marshmallows

    Caramal&vanilla marshmallows

    Chocolate& vanilla swirl marshmallows

    Toasted coconut marshmallows

    Hershey's milk chocolate bar

    Hershey's cookies & cream bar

    Peanut butter cup

    Mr Goodbar

I know some people put fruit on their s'mores bars too. I'm going to display them something like in the picture. I will probably make a little sign too, with different combo suggestions Smiley smile

I wanted to do one sooo bad! But I've decided it's just going to be too much to deal with and I'm stickin with a candy buffet.
