S’mores Wedding Favors

Shelby, on January 10, 2018 at 10:14 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 18
Is anybody doing (or has anybody done) s’mores as their wedding favors? We are thinking of doing something similar to this!

I'm planning on just buying in bulk from Costco or something (haven’t checked prices yet). Is it worth the hassle? What did you spend on them? Any tips?

Looks cute. Are you also having an area to make them at your wedding? My sister went to a friend’s wedding this summer that did that and she said it was a huge hit!

We had a s'mores station in place of favors, but we didn't package them individually for people to take home.

We will be. We have a bonfire pit, so we will surround it with the picnic tables and do a cute display of the favors. I think it's worth it. I got lace looking plastic goodie bags 50% off at hobby lobby to put them in. I just didn't want guests digging at ingredients with their bare hands. I'm still in the process of pricing out, but I think it's something guests will enjoy.

We did Smores around a firepit at my wedding and it was a huge hit, especially with our flower girls and ring bearer who enjoyed changing into their Christmas PJs to enjoy them.

Since I'm getting married on a Sunday this year, the venue we're getting married at gives us:

    S'more favors
Use of the patio fire pit
    $2 off food and drinks
    and a sparkler send off

    All for FREE!Smiley laugh

We did exactly this in the OP photo (slightly different tag, obviously). They weren't necessarily meant to be favors, but they were intended for guests to take and use at the wedding (we had a fire pit for our backyard wedding). They were a bit tedious to put together. We also ended up with a lot left over. People did make s'mores though and enjoyed them Smiley smile

We are doing a fire pit after the reception at the venue and will have cookie jars filled with marshmallows, chocolate bars, & graham crackers with the sticks for anyone who would like to take part.

We are not doing favors, these are very cute, but I feel like it would take up so much time putting them together and with so much already to do, it's last on my list.

Yep! Our venue has a fire pit right outside of the reception doors. They typically have an option for a s’mores bar but the owner said that if we didn’t want to pay for it we could do these as favors instead

We're having a smore's bar at our wedding with fire pits outside. I'm pre-wrapping the graham cracker and marshmallows ahead of time and sealing them with a heat gun so they last about 2 weeks. people can then choose the chocolate square they like. It helps prevent people from touching all the chocolate and stuff. We plan on having some as favors too. Like how you have them in the picture.

I didn’t even think to check Hobby Lobby! I’ve been on amazon trying to figure out if I should do the little plastic favor boxes or plastic baggies

How far in advance did you make yours? I’m guessing they need to be made the night before?

My reception venue did this for us. They had a table outside next to the firepit with all the ingredients in containers.
