Snack ideas

Maryam, on September 19, 2022 at 1:54 PM Posted in Planning 1 6
Hello I’m looking for snack ideas. The wedding start time is at 6pm however the ceremony won’t take place till 7pm. So I am estimating dinner time to be at 7:40pm. To hold off guests I decided on doing snacks. So far I have fruit cups and popcorn bags. I wanted to do charcuterie cups however we don’t eat pork and I think most charcuterie meats are all pork. I also don’t want anything hard to make. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!

I found some cool looking ideas online. But I am confused why there is an hour gap between when it starts and when the ceremony begins.

Thank you so much for the pics I love them! The hour gap is to allow guests that are always running late time to get there lol! We’re Hispanic so we’re known to be late everywhere😂 plus I thought it would be good to give guests time to sign the guestbook, settle down and socialize meanwhile me and hubby can do the first look and take pics.

Unless it is typical in your circle to put an hour early start time, this is going to leave people very hangry on so many levels.

I totally understand that mindset about people being late. But what about the people who arrive 30 minutes early because they wanted to be on time? Then they wait an hour and a half?

I went to a wedding where the ceremony start time was 5:30 but ceremony didn’t start till 6. They put us in another room with complimentary champagne and extremely light passed apps

Yep I'm confused too. A whole hour for people to wait seems like a long time. Is this normally done in your social circle? If so, then good for you for thinking of food and drinks for those that do get there on time.

Thank you all for your concerns regarding the times but I won’t be changing it. We already put the ceremony start time as 7pm on the invitations so guests are aware. But I am thinking about adding more foods, I’m looking into the Costco party trays.
