Absolutely don’t resize it before giving it to her ! Best to have her finger present for re-sizing so that you only have to resize once— to have her there for resizing is the best way to guarantee fit

Yes, please give her the ring, she will be so happy!! My ring was too big and had to be resized a whole size an 1/2. After I spent a week showing it off, fiancé sent it back to the jeweler and got it back in two weeks. It’s a beautiful ring and I’m sure she’ll be thrilled. Nice job 👏🏾👏🏾

I’d say give it to her and then you guys can go together and get it resized. Just so it’s sizes correctly with her there and it’s the perfect size. Congratulations!

Kay is really good about resizing. Only thing is most of their stores are probably closed right now, so you may have to wait til they reopen and she might not be able to wear the ring right away. If thats not a problem for you guys, I’d say go for it!

Give it to her! She will probably need to have it resized either way. I actually thought I was a size 5 when we got engaged, and when I actually went to a jeweler I found out I was a 4.5.

My fiance proposed to me in March. He knew when he purchased my ring it would be the wrong size but he couldn't wait any longer and then all the stores closed the next weekend. I was just thrilled he proposed and our wedding is in July now. It doesn't matter that the ring is too big right now. I'll have it fixed later. I’m just thrilled to be marrying him!!

Congratulations 🎉 but yes please give her the ring -My fiancé gave me the wrong size and I politely accepted the ring actually wore it (it was to snug) for a day and took it bad the next day-It is the thought that counts she’ll be ecstatic

Give it to her! It would be best if she can go to the store herself, have the jeweler measure her, and then resize it.


When I measured my finger at home, I thought I was a size 5, but the jeweler measured me to 4.5. Resizing isn’t very good for the quality of the ring (it’s fine to do it if you need to, but best to avoid doing it more that is necessary!) so I’d just give it to her as is and then she can resize it once.
