So my aunt invited me to a bridal shower but..

I'm not invited to her god daughter's wedding. Should I go with my aunt? I know her god daughter cause we were close when we were kids but we drift apart. I didn't invite her to my bridal shower nor my wedding. My aunt thinks it's not going to be awkward. What do you guys think?

I wouldn’t go unless you were actually invited. Is there a reason your aunt invited you?

Yeah cause her daughter left for college so she doesn't want to go by herself.

I think you kind of have to feel this out yourself, and if you think it's going to be weird, I wouldn't go. Will your aunt know other people there? As long as she's not completely isolated (which seems very unlikely) I'd personally skip this one.

I also wouldn't go unless the bride invited you personally. If the two of you aren't close enough for either of you to invite to your own showers or weddings, it might be a little awkward if you show up.
