So the stress begins

Lynne, on February 20, 2022 at 12:01 AM Posted in Planning 4 8
5.5 months away and I am slowly starting to feel stressed & rushed!

I still need some flowers flowers, need to find dresses for my MOH & junior bridesmaid (my daughter & stepdaughter), need to find our shoes, start putting floral arrangements and my bouquet together, finish paying for everything, order my dress (this will be done in 10 days) then get it altered in May. Still haven't decided on a veil (hopefully will in 10 days).
Possibly just found my makeup artist. Have yet to find one for hair.
Is this normal?

I'm the same amount of time away but I'm very unconcerned which is maybe worse? 😂 for context, I thought we were gonna do all flowers ourselves because my mom has some floral experience but she is saying now she'd rather we hire someone for some of the bigger things and she'll help me find someone/pay for that... we haven’t even begun thinking about my FH's groomsmen attire, I will still need to actually decide on all food with caterer and bakery, no actualized honeymoon plans, still need to organize with the DJ, no guess as to how many guests will actually be able to make it, no vows, no decided ceremony order or wording, no rehearsal dinner plans yet... I've got a lot to do tbh 😆

Same here, tons to do still. We haven't met with the caterer yet to finalize the menu, no clue on guests count yet. Plus lots more.

I guess guest count is normal. We did decide on the main foods at the buffet, but not on appetizers or drinks beyond the wine and beer we'll bring. That's another thing because we need to find the wine we picked out in 2021 before we postponed. 🙈🙈 or oooooops maybe we need another at-home wine tasting 🤪

We have to schedule the tasting with the caterer to help finalize the menu. Then figure out appetizers between ceremony and dinner.

My mom has been that way too. She even says it now. 5.5 months is not a lot of time.

I would love to say it gets easier but I am 19 days away and have a stress rash and am only averaging about 4 hours of sleep a night.
