Socal Under $3,000

Cheyenne, on January 8, 2019 at 2:03 PM Posted in California Planning 0 11
Hello we are searching for locations that are under $3,000 for ceremony and reception in Southern California with no luck. Anyone know of a venue/Airbnb/vrbo?

There are several Airbnbs whose event fees are only $****. One that I was looking at was in Ramona, CA. Another one was in Rancho Cucamonga. I had found another in Santa Barbara for $1500. The Airbnb I went with for my venue is charging me $3250 for under 100 people and $4100 for over 100 people in addition to cost of renting the home for two nights ($650/night). It's a headache sorting through the options on Airbnb but it's doable!

Another option is St. Madeline's Sophie Center, which I believe offers several different locations within their center. I was looking at their garden location, I think it was $500? What I love about them was their rental and event fees gives back to the individuals they work with at that center. I would've probably booked them, but they were already booked for the date I wanted.

Hi Cheyenne! Welcome to WeddingWire and congrats on your engagement! Sharon gives some great recommendations here and I agree, doing an Airbnb would be a good option. If there are any you are particularly interested in, perhaps you could contact the host and learn more about potentially having your wedding day there? As they should be able to share all of the logistics and details regarding their property with you. Smiley smile

Have you tried looking at community centers?

Brea Community Center is really nice and you get a discount if you work or live in Brea.

I also heard the one for Diamond Bar is nice too.

I was going to go with Brea, but the thought of having to get vendors for everything on my own was overwhelming so I went for an all inclusive venue instead

HI, Sara! I love your advice. Just looked at it and it is pretty! I noticed most people are saying they had their reception there but not the ceremony. Do you know if they include a place for the ceremony? Smiley smile

Sherman Library and Gardens in Corona del Mar is $3500 for Saturdays in the off season (November-March) AND since it's a non-profit, the fee is tax deductable!

I know this post is 2 years old, but is there a way to know from the AirBnB posting if they're open to hosting events or do I have to contact each host?

You would have to contact them. I recently did this and just messaged the host telling them I needed it for a reception and how many people, etc.
