Socal venues

Saba, on September 4, 2019 at 11:43 PM Posted in California Planning 0 7

I'm looking for reception venues in Southern California that allow outside catering and can fit at least 150 people. I would really appreciate if anyone could let me know of some venues!

Have you tried any of the hotels in Yosemite? They also have great spots throughout the park that isn't at a hotel.

    Hey there Saba!

    Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

It can be difficult to find a venue that allows external caterers. They often want you to use either there caterer and pick off a list of approved caterers.

What I would recommend is you working backwards by finding a caterer you want to work with, or speaking with the caterer you’ve already chosen and ask them what venues they have worked at before! This would be a great way of finding venues that you know allow external caterers and that your caterer is familiar with!

Have you picked your caterer already?

Look into The French Estate! It holds 150 people. https://www.thefrenchestate.com/weddings/

The link shows pricing and what the package comes with. The great thing about this venue is that it allows outside vendors (they’ve had everything from multi-course sit down dinners to food trucks), but the owner had also negotiated exclusive deals with her preferred vendors (see the vendor recommendations page) to help further cut costs. Overall, a very affordable venue!

Contact Mona Lisa Catering in Northridge and see if they can recommend a venue for you. They are the most affordable I have seen so I assume they work with venues that aren't too high and allow catering.
