Soft Serve Ice Cream Machine

I love this idea. I want to do one but then I worry how much ice cream they'll want after cake.

Sounds awesome! You can also do toppings and cones and bowls and such and do a sundae bar. FH & I are thinking about doing this if our ice cream truck falls through.

Im doing a huge spread; a combination of cake, cookies, brownie bites and some candy. I think the ice cream would be a great addition. Ill probably do a few toppings but there will already be so much.

I would prefer an ice cream truck but i cant find anyone in the virginia beach/newport news area off of google.

That is AWESOME. If there is soft serve ice cream and lots of toppings, I don't think anyone will care if it's located across the parking lot- they'll be thrilled that it's there in the first place!

I tried looking for you too, and the only thing I could find is an ice cream cart in Arlington, which is not helpful!

Sounds like a sweet idea! I am sure your FH will be so excited, that where ever you place it wont matter.

Personally I LOVE the idea, but then I LOVE ice cream!!!!!!

We are having an ice cream wedding cake for a similar reason, my FH loves ice cream. We are getting ours from Marble Slab. They will also come out to your event and serve up regular ice cream with fixings, but it's pricey.

I just had to check out a local rental agency for this thanks to this posting. Now I'm hooked. We can rent a similar machine for about $200 and that would be getting the machine on a Friday morning and returning it on Monday. Holy Cow!!!!!! I'm sold...

I am having one too, My family owns a convienient store, I just asked my dad if I could use the ice cream machine for the wedding. he said it would be a great idea. It is THE best ice cream in town. People would come as far as 50 or 60 miles just to get a cone from our store. It has 8 different flavors of flavor burst and OMG soooo delicious!!

Great idea!! The cruise ship has a soft serve ice cream machine on one of the decks.... we might just have to all take a stroll over the ice cream machine after our cocktail reception!!

Well, the guy called me back.

*Yes, $199 for the single machine that has one flavor (nbd)

*but it requires a 20v plug and and says some venues just dont allow them (i havent heard back from my venue yet)

*and then says the machine requires constant surveillance (uh oh)

*and then tries to pitch me the 2 machines with a staff person and all the toppings for $500 (hmmm, just blew the budget)

so...........we'll see
