Sola flowers on a fresh garland

Caryn, on December 4, 2022 at 3:01 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 2

I plan to order fresh greenery garlands from Costco for my long tables and add some natural (undyed) sola wood flowers to them (my bouquet and the cake flowers will be all sola). Does anyone know if sola flowers can get wet? Not soaking wet, but damp.

The garlands will arrive 2 days ahead of time and should be misted 2-3 times per day. I could wait until the absolute last second to add the flowers, but I'd like to at least do it the day before so I don't have to worry about it day of. Is misting these flowers a few times going to hurt them? The only thing I see online is that if you leave them outside in the rain they can get moldy. I don't think they can get moldy in 24 hours, right? Thanks!

Ive worked with sola flowers before.
They definitely can get wet and then dry out. You wet them when you dye them yourself and they dry well. I don't think you'll have any issue! If the petals are thin they may warp a little from wetting and drying over those few days but I doubt it will be noticeable
