Sola flowers vs. real?

They don’t look real, in my opinion, but they look like their own unique thing that’s really pretty! But if you really want the “real flower” look, I don’t think solas are the way to go.

I love my sola flowers! The only issue I'm coming across is the ones I purchased dont come on stems and that makes putting the bouquets together a little more of a pain, but I'm working on it this weekend- if I can find this discussion again I'll post a picture of the outcome😊

They don’t look or feel real. They can also be very delicate. If you don’t want real flowers, get some sola samples and some high quality silk flowers to compare.

I would go for a real bridal bouquet. If you want sola, silk or a single stem for your BMs, that’s may help you save some money.

I would have to be team real. I really wanted real flowers so I just DIY'd Sam's bulk flowers for my bouquet and BM's bouquets, centerpieces. That really saved us money than getting a florist.

The cool thing about sola wood is that I don't think they are trying to look real. I'd put them in the same category as brooch bouquets.

I wouldn't get them if you are wanting the look of real flowers. I am doing sola wood bouquets but I think the look cool because they look like...wood. From far away it will just look like a beautiful bouquet in photos though!

I agree with this. I'm using sola and I LOVE them because they're unique, but I definitely don't think anyone is going to mistake them for real flowers. If you're wanting a real flower look, you'd do better to use a good quality silk.

I'm using sola and silk flowers. Silk is for boutonnieres and sola wood for mine and bridesmaids bouquets. These are pics if both.

I actually finished 3 of my sola flower bouquets this weekend and thought I'd share with you. I think they look more real than silk.

Firstly, If you're looking for the real flower look, go with Lings Moments! They are mad awesome! Second, I'm having a fall wedding at home so we REALLY had to do our home work with sola flowers. In addition, there are so many sites that sell sola flowers but the site I went to has eveything from peonies to magnolias. Even bamboo sticks for the stems! We purchased the Nova which closely resembles a magnolia. Our colors are Ivory, Matte Gold, Black, and a hint of Brown so we kept the sola flowers as is without dying then and added ivory pampas grass in clear vases and used them as center pieces! Sola flowers are pretty awesome if you know how to use them!
