Sola flowers.. .what did you use as fillers?

Jana, on November 16, 2014 at 6:27 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4

I'm almost complete with my DIY Sola flower projects. I've dyed & put stems on 720 flowers. I'm just about ready to start putting my flowers into bouquets & centerpieces. I ordered 5 bundles of bleached babys breath from Save-on-crafts. I was planning on using that as a filler in my arrangements.. .problem is instead of being white like the description had stated they are yellow. I tried white floral spray on them, it wasn't successful.

I would love to know what fillers others have used. Where did you purchase them?

Thank you in advance!

I used Save-on-Crafts for my fillers, since that's where I got my sola flowers from. I used German stasis, olive green caspia and tallow berries. My wedding is in the winter though, so this might not be the look you're going for.

What helped me was looking at etsy to see what materials other people were using. Then I narrowed down and went from there.

I didn't use fillers...per say...I wish I could be of more help. I just jammed my flowers together to eliminate space. I also used brooches to cover gaps

Do you have a picture of what you have so far? Maybe you could use branches, greenery or brooches depending on your style
