Something new,something borrowed,something blue...

So sweet!

I don't have pictures yet, but my items are..

something old - I love rabbits, so for the 'sixpence in her shoe' AND the old element, my parents have bought me an Irish threepence coin which has a hare on it from 1968 which is the year they got married.

something new - dress

something borrowed - my great, great grandmother's wedding ring (which is obviously old too) which I intend to pin onto my bouquet.

something blue - my fiance's grandmother is embroidering our initials on a handkerchief! I love that woman so much and am so glad I have something from her to link our families even more on the day!

I cannot wait to get a picture of them all together.

My something new is my dress and everything else

Something old - probably a piece of family jewelry

View Quoted Comment Thank you! And the significance is so that you walk into your marriage with wealth. It doesn’t really matter what coin it is - my sister used an Australian coin. Every element is supposed to bring good fortune, fertility, wealth, and imply the support of your family and friends (hence the borrowed) which is so sweet! The blue is supposed to keep away bad spirits!

Something old/borrowed…can this be one thing or should it be 2 separate items? I asked my mom for a pin/broach for my bouquet.
