Edit: just realized my dress will be something new haha

    New: shoes

Old, borrowed and blue: sapphire earrings that my bridesmaid's father gave to her mother before she passed. Completely honored and touched she offered them to me to wear.

I ordered a sixpence for my DIL for their wedding. She did keep it in her shoe during the ceremony but got rid of it as soon as she got to the reception. I don't think it was worth the effort, it had no meaning for the bride.

Had not heard of the sixpence until this post - I like it!

    New - Dress

Old - My grandmothers bible (every bride in my family has carried this on their wedding day and then the couples name and marriage date is entered in the book - however for some reason I didn't carry it the first time I was married which is probably good because well we see how that turned out - LOL)

Blue - still on the fence, either blue panties (LOL) or considering ordering a label from ETSY with my new last name and wedding date in blue and sew into a layer on my dress.

Yes. My new is dress, veil, shoes. My old is my jewelry that was a college graduation gift. My blue is on my garter. I'm not sure about borrowed yet. I think I'll put a dime in the left shoe too. Couldn't hurt, right?

I did this. I wasn't going to do the sixpence but the company I got my bouquets from sent me one along with the poem.
