Son escorting me down the aisle

I think it's perfectly fine. It's better than hurting someone's feelings. How ever. Have you thought of having them both walk you down?

I have considered that idea yes.. but one of the other reasons why I like having my son with me is because my children. are from my previous relationship and I like the idea of it being "our" day.. a joining of all of us as one family, if that makes sense.

My original plan was that both of my sons would give me away, but the chapel we booked has an aisle that is possibly too narrow for three to walk down. So the current plan is my oldest son will walk me down the aisle, and he will be 17 at the time. My younger son will be almost 15. I'm still hopeful we can make it work. Worst case my younger son will be a groomsman and walk with a bridesmaid.

My dad died just before I turned 16. When I married the first time at 21 my oldest brother walked me down the aisle. I do have a stepdad now that I like, but I still feel it's more important my kids feel included, rather than making my stepdad happy. Especially with it being my second wedding I don't see how it's inappropriate in the slightest to be given away by my kids. I've never considered anything else.

This is exactly what I did! My son was 13 at the time. It was one of my favorite parts of the day!

When I got married last time my oldest was 3. My step dad was to walk me down the aisle and my daughter who was my flower girl (supposed to walk with my sister) grabbed my hand and walked me down the aisle. It was magical for me.

Whatever works for you! My friend had both her bio dad and step dad walk her down but I think it would be great to have your son walk you.

My 14 year old son is going to walk me. My family thinks its great because my dad is actually the officiant.

My 17 year old is walking me down the aisle. I think it's a fantastic idea in your situation.

So I am having my 2 sons 6&11 walk me down the aisle BUT I can not come up with a song 🤦‍♀️ Does anyone have any ideas? I don’t want songs of them being all grown up and they are the ones getting married!!!
