Song for Mother and Son dance

I just love My Wish by Rascal Flatts. But Simple Man is a great song for mother son dances also. I can see your dilemma, these are all great songs!

Oh gosh, FH's friend danced to a cover of Simple Man with his mom a few summers ago. It was so beautiful! Maybe I'm just too much of a mush though haha.

I love Mother Like Mine and Simple Man- can't decide which lol whatever you pick is going to be so super sweet! It's neat to see a guy on the forums every now and then :-P

I like mother like mine the best. It also happens to be the most reasonable length-wise-- 3:30 minutes is about all any of your guests are going to want to spend watching you and your mom dance. If you pick one of the others, I would talk to your DJ about maybe cutting them down so they aren't quite so long.

Rascal flats my wish is what my FH and his mom are dancing to, I really like simple man though!

I'm not really familiar with any of those except Simple Man and I find it horribly depressing for a wedding. FBIL and FMIL used it for their dance and FH and I still laugh about it. The lyrics also obviously say "my only son" and obviously he's not her only son.

FH chose a Portuguese song to dance with his mom. I'm Portuguese but don't speak it so I have no idea what the lyrics are. I played it for one of my friends to hear. She started crying and said FH picked a beautiful song. I guess he picked a good one!

FH and his mom are dancing to Simple Man but the Shinedown version. We went to a Shinedown concert and she came with us, that's the only reason we aren't doing the Lynyrd one. She also likes My Wish by Rascal Flatts and I LOVE that one but Simple Man just has a special meaning to them. Although its really long.

@Ruth do you happen to know the name of the song? My brother danced to a Portuguese song with my mom and I wonder if its the same one. Everyone was in tears. My sister did one with my dad but I don't want to do the same.
