    @FMP I am now singing MAE in my head at work, thanks. And my mom has seen Jorge Ferreira so many times. She has all his CDs and when I get in her car its usually blasting on the stereo.

    The song my sister danced with my dad was called "Papai" also by Jorge Ferreria. He sings it with his daughter. Its super cute but I refuse to do it since my sister already did. You should have a listen if you want to have that kind of song with your dad.

    Thank you Melissa but my dad passed away last year. But I'm sure my dad would have LOVED if I picked a Portuguese song to dance with him! I'm going to dance with my sister in his honor to Dance With My Father Again by Luther Vandross.

    Another popular mother/son song is Boyz II Men "A Song for Momma"

    I hate the fact is so popular. I won't be using it because of this reason.

    I also like Shinedown's version of Simple Man better than the Lynyrd Skynyrd one. I was going to that one for me and my son, but I'm still torn. Smiley smile

    DH used a Bon Jovi cover of Hallelujah. Originally he wanted a cut version of "You raise me up" by josh groban, but he knew his mom wanted a bon jovi song (and he nixed all of the creepy love songs she liked) so he decided on the Hallelujah cover. A few days after the wedding MIL complained and said "You raise me up" would have been the perfect song... I guess we just couldn't win with that one.

    FH (Future Husband) and his mom are dancing to "Simple Man" too....so I'm partial to that.

    Personally NOT a fan of My Wish....I don't like the beat
