Song Ideas?

Stephanie, on September 13, 2021 at 11:20 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6

I will be walking into "Look at Me" by Carrie Underwood, but what is a good song for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to walk into to? Looking for more county song ideas, but open to anything. Also how many other songs do I need for the ceremony? Will I need to pick a song for our parents to be seated to?

We had two songs for the processional. One song was for the mothers and bridal party and the other was for me. I had asked our DJ who provided the ceremony about how many songs we needed and he thought having a different song for the parents to be seated was too much hence why we had them seated to the same song as the bridal party.

The first song that came to my head for a country bridal party song was Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. Just think it'd be kind of cool to have that song play and maybe end at "God bless the broken road that led me straight to you" and then you appear and your song plays.

Maybe "This is It" by Scotty McCreery? It has some upbeat vibes and good movement, which seems more appropriate for a wedding party than the slower and more sentimental "Look at Me" for the bride.

I agree that Bless the Broken Road would be a good song for the bridal party. There You Are by Martina McBride might be a nice one, too.

The parents & bridal party are walking to the same song, Makin’ plans by Miranda Lambert. It’s a slower softer country song, but is a good love song which I really like. I’m going VERY nontraditional for myself walking down the aisle, Here comes my girl by Tom Petty will be my professional song. It means a lot to my FH and I also enjoy the song and being a little unique.
