Our videographer has asked us to pick out about 7-10 songs for our wedding video montage.

Gosh, that's quite a few. Have they told you what moments they want them for?
My fi and I put a list together of songs that were our shortlist, and then narrowed things down from there - did you guys do anything like that? I'd probably give them the songs you're using on the day for the processional, recessional, announcement, first dance, cake cutting etc, and then round out the list with whatever you had on your backup/shortlist.
