Songs That Bridge The Generation Gap

Dana, on September 21, 2017 at 8:04 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4

My guests range from ages 1-90! I have people in their 70s who like to dance to oldies, and friends in their 20s/30s who jam to anything from EDM to 90s hip hop. Any song ideas that will attract everyone to the dance floor to get the party started? Thanks from this stumped bride-to-be and her DJ!

I'd just go with classics everyone likes... we played Shout, Brick House, Soul Man. Those were some of our "older generation music".

"Build me up Buttercup" is an all time favorite by almost everyone I know! It gets people dancing and singing... same with, "Shout!"

You could do the typical wedding dance music. Idk do people still know the electric slide?

I'm totally relying on my dj to get people on the dance floor.
