We each had former live in SO, though not former fiances or spouses, at our wedding. In each case the relationships just ran out of a future, as we realized we wanted different things, and we're getting a little bored with our time together. And since our marriage, each has married someone else we know and like. We would not be so fine with meeting here and there, or inviting each other to things, if there jad ever bern any anger, or broken promises. If you have an overall comfortable relationship, and know that your kids are not carrying the thought you and their other parent may ever get together, than I don't see why not. Turns out we each went out with very nice people, but whatever the strong attraction before, when we first met, it was totally gone. Make sure that is true of you.
