Fiancé&I are in a long distance relationship. We were long distance for abt 8 months. Then I moved up to NC near where he is stationed at. I lived there for abt 7 months. Currently back@home in TX to plan the wedding.haven't seen him since January. I miss him so much. I don't really have anyone to talk to. Except my mom - my dad was (is, once a marine always a marine lol) a marine during the first years of their marriage. My mom understands the fears&what comes w/ being a military wife. But she's my mom and sometimes I just need other people to talk to.

I'm scared of him getting deployed soon after we get married. He just finished a course that certifies him to deploy. It takes a few months for that certification to really get processed. We get married in less than 3months. So I know it's a real possibility that he could get deployed soon.

Encouraging words? Also I'm still new to military lingo. How long did it take for you to get used to it? Sometimes I feel dumb/out of the loop.

My sister and her husband are both active duty AF, so their situation is a little different, but I will say that they have a lot of socials and activities on base for spouses to get to know each other. You won't be alone!
