What kind of scam are they accusing you of? Do they think you were doing undercover research on their pricing or something? What does your condo have to do with anything?

It sounds like they are mad that you are canceling and don't believe you were ever really getting married. Their reaction was extremely unprofessional. Did you put down any deposits? If so were you able to get any of them back? I hope things have gotten a bit better for you since then.

Your question was why would they accuse you of lying and being a fake bride? It’s hard to imagine what they could have been thinking or why they thought your conversation pointed to a some kind of lie or scam.
