SortaMarriage/kidsRelated: Circumcision - how does it affect us?

The O-fficial MrsJoseph!, on November 19, 2010 at 11:16 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 30

It’s basically a fact of life that most men in America are circumcised for non-religious reasons. But what does it really do? I've had some conversations with men who have claimed that the removal of the foreskin lessens sensitivity in men, making it harder to achieve pleasure. These men likened the removal of the foreskin to the removal of a female's clitoris.

Typically, the idea that removing the foreskin –thus making orgasm harder to reach – would be good for the woman (giving her more time to reach climax). But I’ve recently read an article that claims the exact opposite!

Statistically, a large percentage of women are shown to have 'Female arousal disorder’ – but there are being studies done that are now claiming that women don’t really have 'Female arousal disorder,’ but instead are having “a normal female response to coitus with a man with an iatrogenically [doctor caused] deficient penis."

Hearing this, what are your thoughts to the idea of your man having a circumcised penis and/or the thought of circumcising your son?

    Male Circumcision Reduces Female Pleasure

    .

'Female arousal disorder' blamed on circumcised penises

    .

A New Zealand study found that reduced female arousal and fewer female orgasms may be linked to women having sex with circumcised male partners. Women reported they were about twice as likely to experience orgasm if their male partner had a foreskin.

    .

Nine out of ten women prefer having sex with intact men, the study finds. "Presence of the movable foreskin makes a difference in foreplay, being more arousing to the female," the study says. "Most likely, reported vaginal dryness and the related clinical designation `female arousal disorder' is but a normal female response to coitus with a man with an iatrogenically [doctor caused] deficient penis."

The foreskin is double-layered. During intercourse, the moist and pliant foreskin rolls past itself massaging the vagina and exciting it more than the 'dry stick' of a circumcised penis. The foreskin keeps the glands moist and soft aiding in foreplay, insertion, and intercourse. Dry or painful sex is the number one sexual complaint of women in the United States.

    .

"During intercourse, the skin of an intact penis slides up and down the shaft, stimulating the glands and the nerves of the inner and outer foreskin. On the outstroke, the glands is partially or completely engulfed by the foreskin with more skin remaining inside the vagina than is the case with the circumcised penis. This `valve' mechanism is thought to retain the natural lubrication provided by the female because the bunched up skin acts to block the lubrication escaping from the vagina, which results in dryness."

About 70% of American men alive today are circumcised. About 60% of U.S. baby boys are circumcised each year. It is illegal to circumcise girls in the United States.

Uhmm interesting topic. My husband is circumcised and I wouldn't have it any other way! Not really sure about their theory with the study.

I just made four posts on this topic in Analy's thread, so I'd suggest a redirect: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/br-would-you-do-it/1c54abb844ddf2ad.html

I didnt' have my boys circumcised for a number of reasons, first their father wasn't so I didn't want them to wonder why they were different, and 2nd my sister had my nephew the year before I have my first son and when they did his he yelled and cried everytime he pee'd I just couldn't do it after that.

I agree with Unique. If the skin is pulled back (and he's wearing a condom, as was in my case with a non-circumcised guy yrs ago) then there isn't a major difference. I will tell you this (since we're grown lol): foreplay and foreskin is a no-go IMHO, but don't let that be the reason for circumcision because that's just how I feel.

Just wanted to add that the female O is not all physical, it is mostly mental. It has nothing to do with the penis usually anyway. For example, I have never ever had an O. Its a mental thing for me. But guess what??? I have them in my sleep! It is all mental.

@the Potters - the study was saying that

"the female O is not all physical, it is mostly mental. It has nothing to do with the penis usually anyway. For example, I have never ever had an O."

the female O is NOT completly mental and that you would have a lot more of them if the doctors would stop cutting off our men's junk! lol

I'm just saying, for over 100 years we've been hit with the reason its harder for women to have an orgasim is due to "feelings" and other BS when instead God gave us a perfectly functioning penis and we go cut it up so that it can "look pretty"

The following is partly why I chose to have my son circumcised: "an uncircumcised penis requires care and cleaning to keep it healthy and free of the bacteria buildup that can cause unpleasant odors, infections and urinary tract infections." I have only been with one man who had a hard time climaxing and he was cause of having one testicle removed for cancer along with the treatments he received.

LOL at Mrs. Joseph I was with my ex since I was very young he was not circumsized so the first time I was with a man who was I was in my 30's and I thought it looked ugly LOL its a matter of what you know... My personal choice was not to and I 'd choose the same if I had to do it over again. My boys have never had a medical issue with it and I taught them how to keep themselves clean... infection is only a problem if hygiene is an issue.

@ Serenaheart if that were the only reason it would make sense to cut up a female for the same reason... hygiene in general requires care and cleaning to keep things healthy and bacteria free... women have to clean as well to avoid unpleasant odors and infections

@Serena - the care and cleaning they are taking about requires the male to grab his penis, pull back the foreskin, and wipe it down the way anyother man would. WHen a child the parent will need to expose the tip of the penise to make sure the child has not gotten any feces in that space - the same way you would open the lips of a female child's vagina to ensure that no feces is in the vagina.

In a sense what I'm getting is that parents feel its ok for special cleaning for girls but for boys they just want to save some time and whack it off.

Hey if you want your son to have an ant eater by all means go for it! Just keep in mind that he will be more susceptible to infection and disease.
