Sound system rentals

So I'm trying to figure out what to do for my ceremony music, sound system-wise....

Where do you even start?
I'm not having a dj for my reception. Is that where you get a sound system? Can you have a dj for just your ceremony for basic stuff like speakers, mic, and playing the right songs at the right time? Do i have to have a dj or can i just rent it? Lots of questions. It's gonna be outdoors and we are not allowed to rehearse sound.

You can rent these items but they often don't come with clear instructions. My cousin rented a sound system and it did not end well for her.

You can often hire DJs for just the ceremony however do you not plan to have any music for the reception? They will never leave their equipment behind to be used by untrained guests.

What about your officiant, do they have a sound system? A few officiants I've spoken to bring their own systems just in case a couple doesn't have a DJ for the ceremony.

I plan on having my FH's cousins play for our reception, and have my cousin MC, they both have experience. I know I can figure something out with them, but for the ceremony it's a little different cuz that means more equipment that they might not have.

Some DJs offer cheaper packages if you have a shorter reception...just a thought

My DJ company also has some equipment rental packages, so you might want to contact some DJs or entertainment companies to see what they offer. It’s definitely possible to just rent sound systems.
