Spa Day & Dinner Bachelorette Party

ItsGoodToBeKing, on July 9, 2014 at 4:37 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 18

Iʻm MOH for an Aug. 2nd bride and am planning a G-rated (her request) bachelorette party as a spa day followed by a nice dinner out.

How much would you be willing to spend as an attendee?

Iʻll probably cover the brideʻs part for her but everyone else will have to pay for themselves.

*any tips or reviews of spa day & dinner bachelorette parties are welcome Smiley smile

$200-$300 dollars. I went to a bach weekend for a friend and spent $400 for 2 days. It was about $175 to have a massage at the spa and then we went to a very nice dinner.

I went to something similar, we got to pick what we wanted done (I did facial, mani and pedi) and for dinner we went to a Japanese restaurant where I ordered steak. I think I spent like $200-$250 for the evening but we all covered the bride's dinner (she didn't know).

We're planning a similar day for a friend, and the spa packages vary in price based on what each girl wants/can afford. $99-$199 before tip.

As for dinner, I would feel comfortable spending another $50-$70 with drinks/tip.

My sister is my MOH and this is what I've asked her to do!! Lovely idea.

If I were attending not as the bride, I would probably willing to pay $100-$150.

EDIT: $100-150 for spa only I mean.. Obviously would pay for my own check at dinner and put some towards brides also.

For a really nice experience? Probably about $250. Its a special kind of splurge and a good excuse to be pampered!

My bachelorette party is costing each of the girls $150, which I thought was a lot, until I heard stories of others.

I would probably want to be under $200, but feel most comfortable around $100.

Depends on how much time you give the girls time to plan. We have been planning my Aug. 2 bachelorette since right before the Super Bowl.

Yikes. I would probably spend $100-150 max. It's not that I'm cheap, but I'm a teacher and that bites into my paycheck. And I'd like options on what spa treatments to get (i.e. I love manicures and pedicures, but I don't need facials and I have my own masseuse) so that I can control my cost.

I was invited to a bachelorette spa weekend in which we had to pay for: our hotel room at an expensive hotel, any spa treatments we would want (each one very pricey), dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday at the fancy hotel, drinks at the hotel Friday night, AND we were all asked to chip in for the bride's share for everything (and she was getting a full spa package).

I wasn't a bridesmaid and I didn't even hang out with the girl outside of work. I politely declined because it would have cost me over $300.

The theme of this wedding is disorganization.

I have no guest list as of this moment and Iʻm working off of google to find the best spas and restaurants in her area.

Honestly, this would be a question for the girls actually going. Everyone's money situation is different. However, for my cousins Bachlorette party back in April, all the girls chipped in about $60. It was a party bus/night on the town/drunken escapade kind of night, but for a frame of reference thats what we paid.

Smiley sad That sucks King. Have you reached out to your friend to see if she could potentially give you a guest list ASAP?

I would say no more than $200 for that. We're doing a weekend in Tahoe for my BFF's Bach party and it's going to run probably $250-300 each when all is said and done. But that's including 2 nights and lots of booze.

I'd be comfortable with $200ish for a spa day plus dinner for me with extra for the bride. But that's just me. I agree with everyone else though, if you can find a full service spa where she is, let people pick and choose, and give them a deadline like 2-3 weeks out so you can get them properly scheduled.

See if there's a spa with hot tubs/saunas/etc? We did that for a friends bach party and those that didn't want to spend a ton of money on services were able to just hang out while everyone else finished their services.

I'd be willing to spend $200 towards a friend's bachelorette party.

Do you have a Blow Out Bar in your area? I know its not exactly the same but I've been to a few and went to one as a bachelorette party was coming in. Its usually $40 or under for someone to get a blow out hair style. You could maybe even see if a local salon would let you all come in to get your hair done and do pedicures and then be all beautiful for a sweet girly dinner!
