Spanx (Plus Size Brides)

I have never worn spanx before but I really want to under my rehearsal dinner dress and my wedding gown. Has anyone ever worn them or planning on wearing them? What do you think of them and how you look in them? Any specific ones anyone can recommend?

As a performer, I wear Spanx a lot. I wear the ones from Lane Bryant that come all the way up under my bra. These give me great back support and knock about two inches off my mid-section.

There is plenty of room in the gusset for you to be able to pee without problems. Just be sure and baby-powder your thighs and pull the legs up in the crotch area so that the gusset is in the proper place. This is the one area that should not be too snug! After getting your Spanx on and pulled up, dance around a bit and make sure that everything is situated properly. My husband calls it the Spanx dance.

Baby powder keeps everything cool. I've never felt they were too hot.

When it's time to go potty, stretch the gusset out with your hands, take care of business, and after the paperwork is done, pat the gusset back in place. Ummm, this is for pee only. I don't think I'd try anything else in them!

    warmest regards and best wishes!

I have bought two different type od Spanx. They always roll down or make my skin itch. So for the wedding I'm going to make the investment in a " Body Majic". I know so many people they have them and it works wonders.

Kristen....I can't even imagine trying to go when drinking. At my age, when you have to go, there is no time to play around.

The TIme of Our Lives Band.....LMAO....I have a "body armour dance" too. Thanks for the tinkle directions.

Yeah those body magic things are the bomb! That actually made me go down a size. I couldn't wear one for the wedding though because of all those fish and eye hooks! It was bad enough with regular clothes I can't imagine with a wedding dress.

I've worn Spanx before and like another poster said, I felt like a stuffed sausage. Just smoothed everything out, didn't decrease my size.
