I use something similar like that. Also spanx. I just love those. I used to be overweight so i have a lot of loose skin. It makes me look nice. Plus people can't tell i'm wearing these. I never had any issues with it.

I think I have those exact ones and I love them. I don't have any excess weight but I still like their slimming effect but I honest use them so i don't have underwear lines and to prevent sweating.

Personally, I like the shorts as they eliminate any chaffing. If you think you're going to be warm in your dress and sweaty, I would really consider the short version!
