Sparkler Exit without Photograpger?

Amanda, on January 17, 2020 at 10:54 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
Hey everyone! We are trying to decide if we want to have a sparkler exit and whether or not it should be photographed. We like the idea of doing an exit, but aren’t sure we want to pay for the extra hours of coverage. Has anyone done this? Where you still have a sparkler exit, but don’t have a planned time for it and don’t have it professionally photographed? I’m curious about your thoughts! Thanks!

The photo of our sparkler exit was one of my favorites. Plus he got some of the best dancing pictures in the last hour. Sparkler Exit without Photograpger? 1

Are any of your friends or bridesmaids super into social media? Maybe someone could take a cool video, boomerang, or snap some photos on their phone? Or all of the above? Or do you know anyone who has one of those polaroid cameras? That would be cool!

Personally, my FH and I are not doing a grand exit. However, we do have our photographer until the end of our reception and we did not mind paying the additional cost to keep her later. All of my friends who have gotten married said they had the best photos towards the end of their reception b/c that's when everyone has had a couple of drinks and hits the dance floor.

If you do not want to pay the extra cost to keep your photographer, I ask your friends attending the wedding and see if they could record it for you (as another PP has said). At one of my FSIL's wedding's this past November, her photographer left around 8pm and her reception did not end until 10pm. When the photographer left, my other FSIL (she's the youngest in the family), who is also a photographer, brought out her camera and took photos for the remainder of the night.

I LOVE the idea of the sparkler exit and I would have to have it photographed! Those pictures are beautiful. A co-worker had a smoke bomb photo done when it was pitch black and it was incredibly beautiful!
