Sparkler Exits: In or Out?

I think they’re just overdone. I like how they look in photos but I wouldn’t do it, especially because I will have kids in the wedding and that can be a hazard. Plus, I’ve seen clothes being damaged by sparklers in the past, so for me they’re out. The whole sendoff thing is out for me 😂 since we’ll stay until the end.

I fear that people clothes can get burned. I say out.

This seems over used and uninspired. I am not sure how I want to end our day but may skip the send off and just not sure but I have 6 months to work it out.

I would love it, but the venues i've checked into so far don't allow it. If I was having an outdoor summer wedding i'd do it

I found out from WW, that they are typically staged. I was for them until I found that out.

In! I love it! Unfortunately can’t do it for our wedding bc of fire risk. I think it’s a beautiful way to end the night!

I love the sparkler exit and the pictures you can take with it can be awesome!

We did a sparkler send-off and it was great fun, and quite cheap. I know it's become a modern wedding cliché - and it might be the most cliché thing about our wedding - but the pictures are beautiful and it's nice to see our guests lined up and wishing us off.

I was adamant that it not be a fake send-off - we really did hop in our getaway car and go home afterwards. Immediately after we drove off, the venue staff put out everyone's sparkler... can't trust drunk people with fire, now!

We are doing one, however literally at the end when everything is done and leaving lol. I also don’t care if it’s overdone, many things are.

I love them and want to do them so bad the pictures always look amazing but I dont wanna leave my party early! 😭

In for me! I think it's very sweet !
I'm having them. I also have a horse....so I'm riding up to my Daddy on her and she is pulling us in a carriage when we depart.
I think send offs are a perfect ending to a wedding.

To each their own, if I'm doing what some think of as" over done".... I'm thinking of it as tradition...that is very romantic to me

We’re doing an exit at sunset and keeping the party going elsewhere from the venue, a local bar with an outdoor patio and fire pit for casual drinks ( we won’t be covering the cost just informally inviting guests to continue to hang out with us )

but we are doing sparklers during the wedding, haven’t decided if during the cake cutting or dances.

The photos are definitely nice! Unfortunately the last big family wedding I went to it was done and it would just feel too unoriginal for me to do that. Also, it was a bit awkward assembling to get the picture right. I think I might do confetti cannons for exiting the ceremony where people would already be naturally standing around us as we walked out. It's SLIGHTLY less staged haha. Either way, I say do what works for you!

Out for me! The pictures do look amazing BUT with so many guests that you may have it takes more time to light those things than it is for the couple to walk out!

We opted out of an exit. I think they look nice but it is strange to me to get everyone outside to send us off and then we go back in for the rest of the party. Unless you are actually leaving I think it is not for me.

I think is it such a cute idea! I am having this at my wedding, my cousin actually did this and as they ran down holding hands, they stopped and kissed in the middle for a picture! Everyone was cheering and it was so much fun!! The smiles from the bride and groom made it 100x better! Also a sweet ending to your new beginning!!

I don’t think it matters if it’s “in or out.” If you want a send off, go for it! Two out of three weddings I attended in the past two years did a sparkler send off. A lot of venues don’t allow sparklers though, including my venue, so I have not figured out what I want to do yet.
