Who doesn't love a good sparkler picture?? Are you still into this exit trend, or has it become too popular? Do you think sparkler send offs are overrated or underrated? They seem to be really popular now, before I would just see rice begin thrown so in my opinion I'll go with underrated

Neither. We’re not having a send off, so I haven’t thought much of it.

Neither, I love this trend! Since I am having my wedding at a lake in July, I definitely would love to have a sparkler send-off!

This is an overrated thing to do but I love lighting and the photos that you can get from them. I’m not sure we will be doing this at our wedding or not yet

LOVE the photos from these. Didn’t want one, until I saw photos at my venue. I think they are over done but still so beautiful, simple and inexpensive.

They are very popular and everyone seems to be doing it, but I really love the pictures! I just would worry about someone catching something on fire!

They work for an evening celebration, however, they're overrated for an afternoon reception.

I think they look beautiful but done a lot. So I’d say underrated but I’m not paying for that expense lol

They can make beautiful pictures - we're thinking about it but I feel it makes for a forced send-off when I need to turn around and come back to pick crap up from the venue.

Overrated. I have never understood the send off idea. my day of coordinator is kinda trying to get us to do it but I'd rather not. I want to give all my guests a final fair well and stick around for a bit to make sure everything is squared away. I dont want to leave on my honeymoon then find out that something got left at the venue and have to come back.

Nope, we are doing a fall wedding in Vermont and honestly I told my fiancé I want to release lanterns. I think sparklers are so over rated.

What do you mean, "release" lanterns?

Like you know those lanterns you release into the sky. I like the idea and my fiancé thinks it’s a great idea.

You will have to marry some place else, or find another idea. Sky lanterns are upside down pressed paper cups with a little wick and fuel pellet at the bottom. It heats air inside the cup, so they rise. But if the cups tip even slightly, the flame goes up the side burning pressed paper cups. Trees and roofs catch fire, as do fallen leaves and hay and bushes on the ground. Sandy Rocky areas allow them. Here in NNH and I believe all of VT they are banned by Fire Marshals if not by law, though ski areas can use them in limited areas where all ground is snow covered, and there are no burnable roofs. . . . Something you might look at as an alternative: It is fairly common up here for people to use a couple of rows of uplighting to simulate the Aurora Borealis, moving spotlights in rooms or up into the sky at night. Since it looks cool in snowy areas, and they are used a lot, they are fairly cheap to rent as a special effect. Great pics. No set up or guest prep and time except the original set up before the party. Light the sky eerie pinks, blues, turquoises, and greens. No fire hazard. Not as cheap, but dramatic, very Northern Kingdom.
