"Special" Chairs for Bride & Groom

A while back my mother and I went to a wedding show. They had lots of fabulous displays, dresses, goodies, etc! But there were a few things that really jumped out at me. I saw a 'mock up' sweetheart table, and the chairs for the bride & groom were thrones! I LOVED the idea and really want to incorprate it into our wedding, since it would be a nod to our shared medieval reenactment hobby.

I know thrones might be hard to get, but even something fancy like an antique setee of tufted pair of chairs would be wonderful.

Check your local event or furniture rental companies that do staging. We're not getting overly nice chairs, but our venue has leather chairs they normally keep at their tables. Due to room constraints, we can't fit 100 of them. So instead there's just going to be 2 for the sweetheart table.

I told the event coordinator from my venue that I want these type of chairs and she found them for me. The rental cost were just added to my venue bill.

Martha My Dear Rentals in Wilmington doesn't have thrones - but they do have several really cool chair and loveseat rental options! Definitely worth checking out! I would also check out Southbound Vintage Rentals, Charming and Quaint Event Rentals, and Relic Vintage Rentals!

If you're looking for a cheaper option you can also do special chair decor just for your seats:

Lynne, that's such an awesome idea! I think that might be best, so we don't have to worry about returning chairs on time (and no one else in our bridal party has to either)!
