Special treatment for being newlyweds?

Hahaha!! One of my bridesmaids said her sister got free drinks because the flight attendants noticed her bride luggage tag. A huge part of me thinks it's BS.

But.... Free drinks?!

Never hurts to ask. IMO you already have "no" by not asking so the worst you can get is what you already have.

No shame. We are wearing mr and Mrs shirts to the airport. We love free drinks. Soak it in, it's once in a lifetime. Even if you don't get free stuff, looking that cheesy is just hilarious.

There was a thread a while back about "honeymoon shirts" and people were saying they got free stuff! I'm totally doing it, plus you only get to be silly about it once!

We got a bunch of congratulations but that was pretty much it. We weren't expecting anything so it was OK.

My sister eloped and decided to go to dinner in their wedding attire. That got them a few free meals and dessert. It's a little more extreme than Mr and Mrs shirts though

My sister got free Starbucks in the airport and complementary drinks on the flight when they had on husband and wife tee shirts

We didn't get special treatment. We got a few congratulations! But we weren't trying to flaunt it or use it for an advantage.

Probably in the 80s or 90s you got upgraded but the way the airline industry is now, no way. But as Celia mentioned, this would be the one time it would benefit you to show a pink slip.

Once we get on our honeymoon, we don't want to be noticed at all and just want our privacy. But flying sucks, I would gladly accept anything that would make it even slightly better!

Yeah, my mom told me that she and my dad got upgraded to first class for telling the airline they were newlyweds, and they got tons of perks and free drinks, food, spa treatments on their cruise. that was 25 years ago, i dont think you would get as much now, maybe some congratulations like a lot of people are saying

We didn't get anything on the plane but our resort did special stuff for honey moon, a free beach side candle lit dinner and fee breakfast in bed. Also a free room upgrade to Oceanside room
