Special wedding Jewelry?

That is so beautiful and very sweet. I was just going to wear some jewelry that kind of matched our engagement rings but she found a gorgeous pearl in an oyster while on a trip to Mexico and had it placed on a necklace for me. While I'm not supposed to know about it, she couldn't help herself as soon as she got home. It took me months to find earrings to match (the pearl is a very unique color) but I finally found them on Etsy and ordered them today. Her response when I showed her the picture, "I think you found the one". Did I ever!!!

I am borrowing sapphire earrings from my mom and a sapphire bracelet from my grandma so I have my something blue and something borrowed. I wear minimal jewelry and I don't think I am going to do a necklace (my dress has a ton of embellishment on the bust) so that may be all I wear.

I inherited two strands of ivory pearls from my Grandma. Supposedly one real, one fake but who can tell? I’ve debated wearing a strand with my dress but I’m not sure they’ll look right.

I wore my mothers earrings, my sister's hair piece, had my late grandfathers wedding band and my husband's late grandmothers broach on my bouquet. My husband had the matching smaller version of the broach on his boutenier

As an engagement gift my grandmother gave me a lovely delicate silver brooch from her native country of Norway! I think I might pin it right in my dress!

I'm not a big jewelry person either. FH is lucky I wear my engagement ring lol I love sapphires though. Originally when I thought i'd get a dress with bling I didn't plan on jewelry, but I got a dress with zero bling so jewelry it is

I do too. Plus we are getting married in September, both my mom and grandma have September birthdays, and blue is one of our main colors - sapphires are perfect!

View Quoted Comment Eh, I just don’t think the length is right for either strand. I have a strapless dress with some beading and embroidery on it and I think a necklace, if I wear one, should be short to keep from distracting from the dress.

That is such a sweet way to honor your parents. I don't have any pictures yet but I have a friend who is making my jewlrey as a wedding gift. She is making earrings, a necklace and an anklet. The anklet will be my something blue

That's so nice of her! If I could have found the earrings I probably would have had them made into a necklace with the charm. I have pierced ears and they were twist on.
