My recommendation is to keep it short and sweet. If you go long, people won't even remember what you said. I think that you should tell a funny/cute story from when you were kids and then relate it back to this new chapter/journey/adventure in his life and say that you're so happy that he found his fiancee because you'd only give your approval to someone as wonderful as your brother.

Well the wedding day is almost here! Less than 24 hours my brother will marry the love of his life and I will gain a sister. Rob and I have always had a unique brother and sister relationship. Rob of course was my big protective brother, who let me sleep in his room with the bunk beds for almost 6 years because I was afraid the monkeys were going to get me through the windows! But as we grew older I became the more protective sister, especially when it came to him dating. He always said “If my sister doesn’t like you this is going to be tough.” Marisa I can honestly say when I first met you and saw how you both looked at each other, I knew this day would come.

I thought I would borrow a few words from Shakespeare. 'Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds.' When life gets hard, when things change, true love remains the same.

I know your hearts were set on getting married November 2, however there is plan for everything, believe in that. Life is a roller coaster, and there is so much pressure around the wedding day, how it is supposed to be this big perfect event but life isn’t perfect.
