Spinoff-- Sweetheart tables with bride/BM boquet as decoration

OG Kathryn, on August 13, 2015 at 9:05 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 25

This is a spin off of Mahem's post.

I hear of brides using their own or BM boquet's as decoration for sweetheart table? Has anyone done this? can you provide pictures? I think it would be cost effective and a cool way to repurpose the boquet but want to see how it would look.

You can put empty vases on the table and have them plop right in, or you can line them along the edge of the table!

I think they look great! And if you have a small flower budget, it's a great way to repurpose flowers. I am also using some of the girls bouquets to decorate the cake table. I have a lot of girls so I'm going to put 3 or 4 on my sweetheart table and 3 on the cake table! I'll give them back to the girls at the end of the night, but they weren't going to use them during the reception-- might as well put them out as decoration.

I am definitely doing this to repurpose my beautiful bouquet! The florist is having me give her the vase ahead of time so she can cut my bouquet to fit.

I will also be doing this with my bouquet and some of the bridesmaid bouquets. I don't have pictures but my niece did it for her wedding and it was beautiful.

I just used my bouquet as our sweetheart table centerpiece! These are the best pics I have right now:

And another. The florist just had the case on the table waiting for me. Hydrangeas wilt quickly out of water and I am preserving my bouquet so I would not have just been able to lay them on the table if we went with another flower arrangement.

@Annakay511 - LOVE your table! That is how I envision ours will look - just the bouquet, our letters, votives, and champagne flutes.

Throwing in another idea since I haven't seen it discussed yet. Smiley smile If you're using floral on an arch/gazebo, it would also be wonderful re-purposed on a sweetheart table. They tend to be low and full so you'll get more volume!

There is a brick archway that will be directly behind us at the ceremony, so I'm having the florist make two arrangements for each side. Once the ceremony is over, it will be moved to each side of the sweetheart table. I planned to have my bouquet on the table as well. I haven't figured out what to do w/ the BM bouquets yet.
