Spirit airlines ?

Aren’t they the ones that charge you for cabin baggage?

They cancel flights last minute. Cheap flight but it feels as if the plane is going to crash the entire time.

Spirit Airlines is good for short weekend trips to Vegas with only a carryon but a long trip and needed to bring luggage I would stay away! they charge for EVERYTHING and the seats are so small and no cushion the tray table was so small my FH hand was bigger LOL!!

Be sure to check your baggage fees, the basic airfare only includes one personal item, like a purse or something. Luggage is separate.

They charge for EVERYTHING. I think when it's all said and done you'll end up spending about the same amount as the other airlines.

They charge "a la carte". Honestly I've never had any problems flying with them, but assuming you're not going to be able to pack everything you want to bring in a carry-on, it might be more cost effective to fly with a bigger airline that gives you one bag as a freebie (southwest is my fav)

They do charge for cabin baggage. You can only bring a personal item for free (small backpack/purse). I used them when FH and I were long distance and it worked fine because I only needed enough clothes for the weekend. If you do go their route I recommend purchasing their checked baggage option ahead of time as they also charge you if you decide to check your bags at the airport.

They're the cheapest for a reason.

Tiny seats that don't recline.

You have to pay $3 if you want a bottle of water because a cup of water isn't offered.

You pay extra for any bag larger then a big purse.

The tight spaced airplane gave me anxiety.

Flights are delayed often.

They were a one and done for me. Never again.

They are horrible and cost more with the add ons

We flew with spirit once from LAX to CLE and will never do it again. The seats are tiny, there are a lot of extra fees. And both the departing and returning flights were at least 2 hours late. But I guess that's why they are so cheap

All I have to say is Yuck Yuck Yuck! My fiance and I used them for a flight to Domincan Republic a few years ago. We were boarded and ww kept hearing noise that sounded like the engine would start. We eventually had to de-board because not all of the computer within the plan were not working. Sat in the terminal for 2 hours waiting for things to get fixed. I had never been so fearful of getting back on a plane once we boarded again. We obvi got there safely but that was awful. And like pp mentioned they nickle and dime and you have to pay for EVERYTHING

Spirit is the worst! I flew Spirit from Baltimore to Vegas - never again! Seats did not recline and were small! If you fly Spirit, you would spring extra $ for the "big seats". They nickel and dime you for everything like having to pay for your luggage at the time of making your reservation versus at the airport (it's more expensive at the airport). They charge you for both checked baggage and carryon!

I'd honestly go through the process of almost making a reservation. After you see how much it is after they charge you all their fees, I bet they're not even cheaper than a better airline. But me personally, I will never fly Spirit again let alone on my honeymoon.

Check southwest. You get 2 checked bags, a carry on and a personal bag. You can usually catch decent prices depending where you are leaving from

I've never heard any good things about Spirit.

God, Spirit sucks! But if you're desperate for the cheapest flights, then yea, go ahead and book them.
