I think we both would pick to LIVE LARGE for a few days. I want luxurious bed and linens with in room messages and champagne nightly and breakfast in bed and fancy lingerie and to just do whatever we want like crazy excursions that we wouldn't get a chance to do any other time

Less to stay longer-- wedding is a day.. honeymoon is whatever you can afford, and if i can have al onger work break then yes please.

I would do something in the middle. For our wedding that's sort of what we did. The first few days we saved on a cheaper hotel with kid friendly things to do and for the weekend it was a higher end hotel.
