Splurge on a short honeymoon or spend less so you can stay longer?

Looks like I'm in the minority here. We splurged majorly for a week vacation in French Polynesian paradise. Over water bungalows, massages, jet ski, atv, snorkeling with sting ray and sharks, private dinner on the beach, and upgraded flight seats. We plan on starting a family once we buy a house and luxurious vacations are harder to take (plus we'd never have this kind of money again), so we went all out. March can't come fast enough.

Most definitely spend less and stay longer

Normally we would spend less and stay longer but for our honeymoon we are going to splurge. Plus we neither of us want to be away from our daughter for longer than a week.

Spend less to stay longer. At the end of the day we could've gone anywhere, it was just about us getting a mental break from all of the stress of the wedding. And to celebrate finally being married, of course!

Extend the trip! No reason to spend loads of money

We're spending less and staying a whole week. We could've gotten a nicer room and left earlier, but we wanted the time off.

Spend less to stay long! It would be better to just enjoying our honeymoon over a time instead of spending like crazy and only having like two days.

Short honeymoon. We are having a 4 day away and 3 day home with friends and family for a weekend canoe trip when we get back!

Splurge. We don't like being away from home for very long so it works out for us.

We’re splurging on one night instead of doing a longer honeymoon. We figure if we can have one grand night alone it will feel like a week.

Spend less, stay longer! I love going and finding new and interesting places. I'd rather hike a random mountain than sit in a luxury hotel for 3 days.

Normally I’d spend less to stay longer but I want our honeymoon to be more of a splurge. Fiancé disagrees. Sooo....

We are compromising with one budget week and one splurge week.
