Sponsors for your wedding

Danielle, on September 18, 2017 at 8:37 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 22

I was on Facebook this morning and saw this article and thought I would share. I personally would never ask for sponsors but I guess best of luck to this couple!

Ew. But I suspect they'll be sorely disappointed - in my experience, sponsors want more than 'a seat at their winter wedding.'

Yeah. I want to work for free so your other cheap ass friends will contact me. And I want to come to your wedding knowing you screwed other vendors too dumb to say no.

    Not.

Gross, entitled and in hideously bad taste.

I love how it said a courthouse wedding or elopement isn't an option, like thats somehow beneath them, but publicly begging for money for a party isn't beneath them at all.

Having a company logo on your dress in return for some cash? That's absurd.

Who would pay for someone's wedding that they don't know in turn for some marketing or a seat?

WHAT? What kind of wedding is this? The couple isn't going to know anyone attending! Why bother??

So gross. The article includes a link to their wedding website and it just gets worse from there.

This just made me sad. Getting married at a courthouse isn't an option for them? Why not? This makes it seem like they are just focused on the big fancy party and not the marriage. I'm really sad for them if that is the case.

Their entire wedding website is a background story about how their past was filled with abuse and trauma (which is genuinely tragic and horrible). I hate to be the person that says it....but I get the gross icky feeling they are using it as a sympathy tactic so people will sponsor this dream wedding.

Their wish list is full of crazy, expensive items like a band, live musicians for ceremony, HONEYMOON, flights, CIGARS, etc. They disgust me.

Wow...just wow. So entitled! You do not need to have a big party to get married. SMH. It should be about their love for each other instead of the grand party they want.

I'm shocked at how many things have been sponsored already. The thing that got me was that they were asking for a restaurant to sponsor a gift opening dinner? Is that even a thing? Who are these people?

Looking at the wish list they have the basics covered

    Wedding dresss

    Moh dress

    Flowers

    Photographer

Too bad no one sponsored the grooms attire. Guess he'll be in his birthday suit

Or you know, they could pay for it themselves

Excellent. I am just imagining idiocracy, the venue at the local walmart, the ushers "welcome to Walmart, I love you", officiant begins ceremony with eat fresh, banners say thank you bp! Instead of mr. And mrs. And the wedding dress has juicy on the butt, since fashion repeats itself and all haha
