Spray tan or tanning bed

Kathy, on September 4, 2016 at 8:16 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 21

It's 2 week before my wedding and I want color so I don't blend in with my dress. Do I do tanning bed for the next 14 days or spray tan?

Spray tans look pretty natural nowadays, and you don't have to worry about melanoma.

I would go with a spray tan. Not a spray tan machine, but get hand sprayed. Your really not going to be able to build up much of a tan in two weeks in a tanning bed because for the first week they only really let you go for 3 minutes every 24 hours.

A spray tan doesn't rub off? It's not going to get on the dress at all? Sorry, I'm also curious lol

Every time I think of spray tans, I think of Ross in that episode of Friends lol

I think I'd rather be white lol I wouldn't be able to take the chance of a spray tan. But, if you must, just do a tanning bed but be sure not to burn! Start slow and build a base tan... However, I feel that may be tricky only two weeks out

I have never had an issue with a spray tan. I have been a bridesmaid for 5 weddings and got a spray tan for each one. I went two days before the wedding to get it done because you normally have to wait at least 12 hours to shower the access off. But they turned out amazing each time. No orange, no rubbing off on my dresses

Do not do machine spray tans! That's the greatest chance of ending up orange and uneven!

I would go to someone who specializes in spray tans. Get it several days before your em wedding and you should be fine and it won't rub off on your dress.

No to the tanning bed! They are so so harmful. I went in high school and have already had precancerous skin removed, and I blame the tanning bed. Please spray tan or embrace the pale!

Embrace the pale! Porcelain skin is what its all about. Do not use a bed! They are so harmful i cant believe anyone would see that as an option. Your wedding day is not worth cancer.

I rarely fake bake, but I am doing it just a few times before the wedding. Spray tans make me look all blotchy.

No tanning beds. Air brushing has become much better.

I would go to a salon that does spray tans or use a self tanning lotion. The Jergens self tanning body lotion is nice because it's a gradual build, and looks really natural.

I wouldn't risk getting a spray tan since you don't have time for a trial. I would embrace being pale lol

I got a spray tan once and it was awful. I was too dark and the soles of my feet were weird colors. It wasn't even either

Since you have limited time and you're afraid a spray tan will be uneven, maybe self-tanner? There's one that I like called St. Tropez. It's brown so you can see where you're applying it. It does dry overnight, so you need to wear sweats or something, but I have never been orange while using it.

No matter what you decide to do, a real tanning bed should NEVER be an option. Pretty pictures isn't worth cancer.

Find a reputable salon who will do a spray tan by hand. If your wedding is on Saturday, go Thursday morning. You have to wait 12 hours to shower and it takes another day for the tan to settle in. If you follow instructions, it will be even, it won't rub off on your dress, and you will not be orange.

Don't go into a tanning bed! You could get burned so easily and there's no fixing that- or worse, you could get cancer.
