Spray tan !

Hi ladies: this may be TMI, but I did a trial spray tan to see if it would cover up some old Tanlines. I like the coloring but here’s the awkward thing, have any of you had body odor after spray tanning? Specifically armpit? I DO NOT normally have it. The evening of the spray tan I started to notice it and I am still having it five days later. I even exfoliated the area since. I’m now scared to get a spray tan because I am reading different people’s PH can react with the tan differently to cause this. Obviously I don’t want to worry about BO on my big day!
I also did not follow the NO Deo afterwards rule and about five hours later put one swipe on for dinner. Wondering if that caused blockage of pores or something. Any advice or experience is appreciated!

Do you use an aluminum-based antiperspirant/ deodorant? Those are designed to block pores and don't play nice with spray tans.

I don't put self tan directly on my pits, otherwise when I sweat I stink like dirty spray tan...lol. I have a kabuki brush that I use to buff it in around the armpit, which lets it have a natural looking fade into my actual pit. I have never thought it looked odd, personally, and will be doing the same thing for my wedding!

Yes I do. Sometimes I even use clinical strength.

I can ask if they can somehow not spray my pit but just the sides around it. I mean realistically even when I get sun it’s never in my pits lol

You could ask them to buff it out as well, but definitely give it a trial run haha. I do my own tans, so I'm not sure if a professional (with the little gun and everything) could buff it out, but worth asking!
