I'm getting maried fairly close to there. I was scared as well. Luckily, I received all the deposits back when I cancelled and we changed it to a tiny outdoor ceremony

You are so lucky! We are holding out hope, because are only option with the venue is to postpone to 2022. Unfortunately that’s not realistic for us. 😫

I feel your pain! Have you given any thought to backup plans? I’m freaking out. Ours is completely indoors and we don’t know if they will even open by May.

So right now my two options are cut my guest list down I’m currently at 135 but am prepared to cut it to 90-100 depending on the guidelines at the time. The other option is to switch it to outdoors which I don’t wanna do because you pay all this money for the venue but my venue did set up everything in the Peking lot under a nice tent this year for some weddings I just can’t get over having a wedding in a parking lot lol but they did do a nice job with it. The only other option which isn’t an option for me is to postpone and I don’t wanna do that because my fiancé brother is literally getting married 6 months after us so that’s out.

We decided to have our wedding in our backyard to avoid venue problems. We will be getting married on 5/9/2021. A friend of mine is catering. 5/9/2021 will be our 10yr anniversary, so we are not willing to postpone.

Jessica my wedding is scheduled for April 2021 and with all the restrictions and increased anxiety surrounding the pandemic we decided to postpone. I'm bummed about it, but I feel it was the best decision.

Our original date was May 1, 2021, and we are going to postpone to 2022. I think masks indoors will still be necessary in May, and large gatherings still won't be a good idea.

I was never told by my venue (Terrain) that we had any issues to worry about. Maybe they didn’t want to worry me. Is Philly restricting capacities still?

We are still moving forward but treading lightly for our May 7th, 2021 wedding just outside of Philadelphia. We signed a contract for 200 people, but will have to plan for less than 100. We are not receiving any refunds at all and would have to pay another $6,000 to rebook a prime date (Fri, Sat, Sun) within 5 months from our original date. Cancelling is not really an option either at this point because we would be entailed to pay our catering minimum as well. It’s been truly devastating to try to plan through all of the changes- especially as a nurse myself. I am feeling hopeful we will be okay for a restricted guest list and socially distanced wedding for the spring. Wishing you best of luck with your wedding plans!

I am still planning for my wedding but I am hoping that it will happen. I don’t want to change it again bc of COVID. I shall see as it gets closer to my date.

We booked a venue outside of Philly for end of May 2021 and we are hopeful that we can proceed with our guest list of 100. Meeting with my wedding planner this week hopefully to strategize but we have high hopes with the vaccine rollout. We already planned an outdoor ceremony but not sure if we can move the reception outside too

Brianna, my wedding is at Terrain as well. We were originally 11/20/20 and postponed to 3/26/21. I reached out to them last wk and they said they only know what everyone else knows. Personally, I am waiting til the end of the month to see what restrictions are like, and if it still seems really bad we are going to cancel and have it at a family member’s ranch. Postponing again isn’t an option for us. What’s your date?

My wedding was scheduled for April 2021 but we’ve decided to put it back to 2022 due to guests (and members of our wedding party) reaching out and telling us they’re uncomfortable with attending

My wedding is scheduled for May 8th, 2021 and I am not rescheduling unless there are state restrictions that do not allow us to have it indoor or outdoor. We want to start a family and I don't want to plan my life around a wedding date. My venue has the option to have an outdoor reception which isn't my first choice, but we at least have the option. My fiancé would rather reschedule but I don't think I can take another year of being anxious and worrying whether things will be normal then or if I can get all the same vendors. We are hoping our family and closest friends feel comfortable coming but planning during this pandemic has taken the joy and excitement out of it Smiley sad
